As more cloud rolled over us and darkness started to fall, I was all for heading back to camp and getting some dinner, but thankfully my girlfriend persuaded me to stay for five more minutes…and this is what happened. For a brief couple of minutes, glorious crepuscular rays erupted from behind towering tropical clouds and then, just as rapidly, the light vanished entirely, and we made our way through the descending night back to our temporary home at 2800 m.
