The poster in place on Broad Street

This poster was created for Oxford Particle Physics to illustrate their contribution to the Oxfordshire Science Festival 2010 launch event, held on Broad Street, Oxford in March. The real version is five metres across! You can see it in place in the Oxford Particle Physics marquee to the right.

It shows some of the many and varied uses of particle accelerators: though many people could name the particle physics flagship, the LHC, there are thousands more accelerators used around the World in everything from other branches of physics, to archaeology and even in treatment of cancer.
